Lisa Hendrickson-Jack talks about vaginas a lot! She’s a certified Fertility Awareness Educator and Holistic Reproductive Health Practitioner who teaches women to chart their menstrual cycles for natural birth control, conception, and monitoring overall health. In her new book The Fifth Vital Sign, Lisa debunks the myth that regular ovulation is only important when you want children, by recognizing the menstrual cycle as a vital sign. Drawing heavily from the current scientific literature, Lisa presents an evidence-based approach to fertility awareness and menstrual cycle optimization. She hosts the Fertility Friday Podcast, a weekly radio show devoted to helping women connect to their fifth vital sign by uncovering the connection between menstrual cycle health, fertility, and overall health. With well over a million downloads, Fertility Friday is the #1 source for information about fertility awareness, and menstrual cycle health, connecting women around the world with their cycles and their fertility — something our education systems have consistently failed to do. When she’s not researching, writing, and interviewing health professionals, you’ll find her spending time with her husband and her two sons. To learn more, visit fertilityfriday.com.

#15 Theta Healing with Tania Luisa Lester

Tania Luisa Lester began in the arts of healing in Western medicine graduating from Mt. Sinai school of Radiology Technology at the age of 19, and graduated as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer from the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital at the age of 21.

Thereafter Tania was employed as Head Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at New York University Medical Center for several years while she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Literature. During this time, Tania diagnosed numerous cases of cancer, and a multitude of other terminal diseases.  Tania was always perplexed as to why certain patients, with the exact stage and type of prognosis from a life threatening disease recovered, while others succumbed to death.

Tania has been an intuitive person since early childhood, hence she has always known there was much more to this than chance.  It was when she herself became very ill that Tania became aware as to why certain people lived while others died.

A couple of months before her Son turned two she noticed she was losing weight.  Soon after, Tania developed severe back pain, so severe she had to go to the ER for morphine drips.  Tania awoke one morning with the right side of her face paralyzed, known as Bell’s Palsy.  Tania weighed about 93 lbs, and became very weak.  She was diagnosed with MS.  Tania’s MRI showed multiple lesions throughout her brain.  She was at her lowest point weeks after, weak with excruciating pain, and was sure she was going to die.  That night she prayed to be taken at a later date because her son did not deserve to awaken to find his Mother dead.  “God, take me tomorrow, but not today,” were her exact words.  At that exact moment the pain beyond her control began to lift and objects in my room moved… lights, noise, and voices not of this world were heard and felt.  Tania knew at that moment that she would live, she would survive and that she was given the answer as to why certain people survive while others do not.  It became clear to her that it is One’s INTENTION and CONNECTION to God that determines whether they will survive.

It was during the years that Tania lived in Bali that she became acquainted with ThetaHealing.   It has changed her life.  The answer as to why and how she was able to “cure” herself is ThetaHealing.  Being in a Theta brain wave while connected with the Creator through energy and meditation is what allows physical healing to occur.  In addition, negative beliefs can be removed resulting in a healthy, joyous and fulfilled life.

At present Tania is an Instructor and Practitioner of ThetaHealing. Tania teaches and practices ThetaHealing in the United States and Bali, Indonesia, and provides ThetaHealing Sessions Internationally via Skype as well.

#11 What is the Creighton Model Fertility Care System? w/ Kelly Castleberry

Kelly Castleberry desired to be more natural with her fertility soon after getting married, and picked up the book “Taking Charge of Your Fertility.”

Kelly Castleberry desired to be more natural with her fertility soon after getting married, and picked up the book “Taking Charge of Your Fertility.” Kelly stopped taking the birth control pill and they avoided pregnancy for several months before attempting to conceive. When it didn’t happen within a few cycles, Kelly became alarmed and started seeking help. They experienced 1 failed IUI, 3 IVFs, and 1 miscarriage by the time they were 27. They had no living children and were without answers as to why they were experiencing infertility. The lack of compassion from their Reproductive Endocrinologists led them to walk away from mainstream infertility treatments in 2003.

In 2004 they adopted a son, and in 2006 Kelly gave birth to a daughter.

In the years that have followed, they have desired to continue the growth of our family, and that desire lead them to the Creighton Model FertilityCare System (a natural method of tracking women’s cycles) and NaProTECHNOLOGY.

Because their FertilityCare Practitioner and NaProTECHNOLOGY medical consultant gave them answers, renewed hope, and compassion, Kelly wanted to help other women and couples heal from their infertility. In April 2016 she began working towards becoming a FertilityCare Practitioner, graduated from the Education Program in August 2017 and will become certified in early 2019. In June 2018, Kelly started learning how to teach FEMM (another natural method of charting women’s cycles) and TeenFEMM. She will take the 3 hour final exam in early 2019 and then be certified. Kelly also offers Organic Conceptions, an audio program that helps the couple improve emotional wellness - their sense of self, their ability to cope, and begin engaging in life again with newfound control on the journey to parenthood and beyond.

Kelly works in a GYN office as an Office Manager/Health Educator teaching local patients and runs her own business – Dunwoody FertilityCare where she teaches the Creighton Model FertilityCareSystem and FEMM via Skype to clients all over the world.

#06 An A-Z Guide to Fertility with Author Sheila Lamb

Sheila Lamb battled infertility for six years before her dream of becoming a mother came true at 47.

Sheila+Lamb.jpg

Sheila Lamb battled infertility for six years before her dream of becoming a mother came true at 47. Before writing her first book ‘My Fertility Book – all the fertility and infertility explanations you will ever ned, from A to Z,’ Sheila founded an online fertility magazine called My Fertility Specialist – a quarterly magazine featuring articles from global fertility experts, latest news, book reviews, true stories and much more.

It was while researching for material the magazine articles, that Sheila realized there was a huge amount of information that people needed to know, and also how difficult it must be for people to find jargon-free, easy to understand information online – she had qualified as a nurse and midwife years ago and even she often struggled to understand numerous fertility terms. The idea of writing a book of medical and non-medical fertility and infertility terms in a jargon-free language was born. Many of the terms are accompanied by simple but artistic illustrations. As Sheila understands what you are going through, she also tells her own personal experiences of egg collection/retrieval, miscarriage, the two-week wait and more.

This comprehensive, useful guide will not only assist people who are personally battling infertility, but is also a fantastic resource for people who are planning a family in the future and, if you work with people or support people who are trying to get pregnant.

Accompanying this book is a free resource ‘The Best Fertility Jargon Buster; the most concise A-Z list of fertility abbreviations and acronyms you will ever need’.
